This Third Thursday painting workshop focuses on a water dog portrait. The portrait captures a dog being playful and natural in the water while exploring the transparency, reflections, and movement that make wet fur and water so expressive.
The class will start with the initial painting design, where students will plan the portrait and keep the dog’s personality at the center of the composition. From there, we will move into the painting palette and color mixing section, focusing on how to suggest clear water, reflected color, and damp texture. The class will then continue into the paint-along, where students can build the portrait step by step. Classes are recorded for student playback.
